David and I have been in Kenya since early January and much has been achieved.
Our friend John Del la Haye, has painted all the classrooms and he and his wife paid for a very smart new fence and metal gates at the front of the school.
Thanks to Ebenezer Methodist Church and my Coffee morning, our much needed new toilet block was constructed and opened, along side a beautiful new classroom for the Baby Class which DAVID funded….
We had a marvellous Opening Ceremony where the choir sang and the buildings were blessed by the Reverend Ben.
We have had a new roof on the ‘ tin’ classroom, painted it and put up a new pin board, also constructed an overhang for two other classrooms to stop the sun from beating down and the rain from driving in.
Lastly , new desks and teachers’ tables have been made, the side fences plus the back fence have been renewed and the see saw and drying rack repainted so the compound looks very smart.
The children love playing outside and they are very aware of keeping their environment clean.
