Individual Sponsorship
Every child deserves an education, but not all families can afford one.
Individual pupils whose parents or carers cannot pay the modest school fees can be sponsored by Jersey or England based people who complete a Sponsorship form and pay an annual amount of between £120-£150, payable each November or December, ready for the start of the new Kenyan School Year in January.
This amount covers the pupil’s school fees and contributes a small amount towards their lunch. There are 51 pupils currently sponsored.
Sponsors receive a letter and piece of work from their sponsored child, along with a Newsletter from Ruth Smith, at least once a year.
Our aim is to keep to this number, however, with the effects of Corona Virus on employment, we may need to seek extra sponsorship.
